Jacqueline L. Nottingham

Decorated higher education admission and career counseling professional with 30+ years of experience working within leading universities and independently with students providing instrumental counsel throughout the world.

 

Jacqueline received her Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Development with a focus on Human Services and a minor in Sociology from Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, Virginia/USA).  She received her Master of Science in Education degree in College Student Personnel Administration from Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana/USA).

 

During her career, she has worked with undergraduate, graduate, international, under-represented, military, athletes, and other clients from many different population segments.  She has guided students, families, and professionals through all aspects of the higher education and job search process. Providing support and counsel at every stage of the process, covering components such as essay planning, resume writing, developing a strong personal narrative, rehearsing for interviews, along with utilizing both local and online networks – she ensures each person is thoroughly prepared.

 

Jacqueline holds memberships in the following professional associations: American Counseling Association (ACA), Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), International Association of College Admissions Counselors (IACAC), National Association of International Educators (NAFSA), and the National Career Development Association (NCDA).

 

Jacqueline is a sought-after speaker and has given many presentations and workshops related to college selection, career planning, university admission, USA vs UK, strategic enrollment, interviewing preparation, networking, and understanding technology. She holds certificates in Leadership Excellence and Marketing through Social Media and a diploma in Major Events Management.

 

Jacqueline currently serves as a College Counselor at the Academic Bridge Program (ABP) within the Qatar Foundation.  In addition, she works remotely to provide access to her knowledge of the inner workings of higher education and career planning with ambitious consumers situated all over the world.
